The Oconee County Sheriff's office arrested two men Wednesday after executing a search warrent at the home of Charles Whitney Batts.
When deputies arrived, they found Clifford Ritter outside the home face-down attempting to dispose of a small plastic bag filled with a green leafy substance.
Ritter had active warrants and was detained at the scene.
When deputies entered the home, Charles Batts was detained. Four guns, a quantity of heroin, methamphetamine, controlled substances, paraphernalia, baggies with scales, and drug ledgers were located inside the residence.
Charles Whitney Batts was placed under arrest and charged with three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of trafficking heroin, two counts of distribution of heroin, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and four counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Clifford Ritter was arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana.
Both men are currently being held at the Oconee County Detention Center.
