The Anderson County Sheriff's Office issued the following press release Saturday.
Anderson, SC (9 November 2019, 3:25 p.m. EDT) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Allison Square Apartments on Abbeville Highway in Anderson SC in reference to a shooting incident.
Upon arrival deputies located a victim that had been shot at least one time. The victim in this incident succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene.
Forensic Investigators and Criminal Investigations Detectives are responding to the scene. At this time the investigation is ongoing.
Update: Sunday 4:30PM
The Anderson County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 38 year-old Korey Harrison of Anderson. The death has been ruled a homicide and is being investigated by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office and the Anderson County Coroner's Office.
