Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is partnering with a few veterans groups, including Upstate Warrior Solution, to host an Edge4Vets workshop.  It designed to help vets translate their military experience when applying for a civilian job.

The program was established at Fordham University and has a partnership with Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) to expose veterans to potential careers with airports.

GSP is the first airport in South Carolina to participate in the program.

The event happens this Friday, March 29, at the GSP Conference Center on the main floor inside the airport.  It will run from 9:30am to 3:30pm with a lunch served at noon.

After two sessions on identifying military strengths and applying those skills to civilian job success, attendees will be able to match their skills and interested with job opportunities and line up interviews. Some of the companies that are planning to participate include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, FedEx, United Airlines, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection, airport concessionaires and Clemson University.
