Anderson County Sheriff's Office Detectives are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon around 3:15pm on Fox Creek Road in Anderson.
A child was injured and was transported to Prisma Health Hospital in Greenville. A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office in a media release reported that the child died Wednesday evening.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the 10-year-old as Dahillian Patel, of Anderson. As the investigation continues, detectives will be working with the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office to determine if any criminal charges will be sought as a result of this incident.
