The Franklin County Georgia Sheriff’s Office is giving you a front-row seat to a weekend high-speed chase.
A deputy attempted to pull over a gold Chevy Tahoe on I-85 Saturday morning... but the driver took off, initiating a pursuit. Deputy dashcam video shows that during the 100-mile-per-hour chase, a box of suspected drugs and a gun were thrown from the SUV onto the Interstate.
A PIT maneuver - Precision Immobilization Technique - by the deputy ended the wild ride on Baty Road. The driver and passenger were taken into custody.
Back-up officers recovered the items thrown from the SUV — suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, THC products, firearms, ammunition, digital scales, and numerous baggies.
