A 12 year old girl is facing charges after a fight at an Upstate skating rink, last week. The Union County Sheriff's Office says, the fight happened during a lock-in at Union Skate Center, last Friday. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses.
Officials say, the girl has been charged with 2nd degree assault. Rink officials say, the incident has prompted them to review security practices and will have a police presence on Friday nights going forward.
The skating rink had reportedly just reopened in late June after undergoing renovations.
