More than a dozen suspects have been arrested after a large scale online child predator sting in North Carolina. The Mooresville Police Department says 15 men are all facing charges in the largest operation of its kind in department history.
The operation was launched in late May and the Mooresville PD worked with a total of nearly 20 other agencies. One suspect is said to be from Virginia, most of the rest are from the Greater Charlotte Area. The suspects range in age from 25 to 78 years old.
Investigators say the men used online platforms to engage with and solicit minors. 14 suspects have already been arrested and one more remains wanted, as of the time of this report.
