A 19 year old from Anderson County is facing child sex crime charges in another Upstate county. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, Brady Austin Baltzegar is charged with three counts of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
The investigation started in February after reports of sexual conduct between Baltzegar and two children. The Sheriff's Office says evidence shows that sexual abuse happened in April of last year at a home near Westminster. The Sheriff's Office will not release the ages of the two victims.
However, under state law the criteria 1st degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor involves victims under 11 years old, unless the suspect is a previous offender. Baltzegar is being held in Oconee County and has been denied bond thus far. The charges carry a potential sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.
