The victim in a fatal shooting in the Upstate has been identified. The Greenville County Coroner's Office says 23 year old Jorrel G. Wright was pronounced dead at Greenville Memorial Hospital after being transported there.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to the reported shooting on Emily Lane in Piedmont around 8 PM Wednesday night. Upon arrival, deputies found Wright lying in the carport with multiple gunshot wounds. The Coroner's Office ruled his death a homicide. The shooting is still is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office and there's been no arrests made or suspect information released as of this time.
