The Upstate Warrior Solution is hosting a fundraiser next month to commemorate local military and first responders.
The 2nd annual Palmetto Heroes Hike is set to take place over Memorial Day weekend next month.
The charity event is meant to commemorate local military and first responders and to support the non-profit’s Wounded and Recovering Fund that assists wounded law enforcement personnel.
“It’s a memorial event,” said Catherine Pelicano, the Director of Marketing and Communications at Upstate Warrior Solution. “So this is a hike that’s happening on the Swamp Rabbit Trail through downtown Greenville. Participants can choose from a six-mile loop or a twelve-mile loop.
Those start and end at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, and along the route are memorial checkpoints that honor our military service members and our first responders from South Carolina who were killed in the line of duty.”
The hike begins at 7am on Saturday May 27th at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
