Police in Asheville have announced an additional arrest stemming from a shooting there, earlier this year that left one person hospitalized. As we previously reported, officers responded after a shooting on Atkinson Street, in late April.
A victim was injured and was taken to a hospital. Several vehicles were damaged in the incident. The suspect Trevon Demarkus Stone now faces charged of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.
Stone is the 3rd suspect to be arrested after the shooting. 20 year old, Lamon Tyrik Smith was arrested last month and a 16 year old juvenile had already turned himself in. The shooting remains under investigation.
