The 3rd suspect in the armed robbery of an Upstate store last month is now in custody. On November 18th, The Academy Sports on Peachwood Center in Spartanburg was robbed by three armed suspects.
In the subsequent weeks two suspects, 38 year old Justin Morgan Phillips and 26 year old Stewart Eugene Coffman III were arrested in connection to the robbery. Now a 3rd suspect 18 year old, Tommy Lee Tyler of Duncan has been taken into custody.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says Tyler was found at a motel Tuesday in a car that had been stolen in Greenville County. He's charged in Tuesday's incident and faces an armed robbery charge from the heist, last month.
