After the July arrests of four men in brutal attacks against the homeless , an Upstate activism group is looking to make positive changes. Fighting Injustice Together or FIT has launched an organization called the Greenville Homeless Alliance. The group is a sub-chapter of FIT and plans to announce major changes to help the homeless population in Greenville County.

FIT leader Bruce Wilson said in a release about the newly formed alliance "We established this non-profit organization a few months ago and are ready to go to work. With the recent arrests of individuals attacking the homeless, which was so despicable we can't simply sit back and watch the least of us, get the least treatment in our community. In the coming days, we will highlight and detail a significant structure to help the homeless population in Greenville County."
