A Greenville, SC university is giving the community a rare chance to come face-to-face with an ancient piece of biblical history.
September 10th, community members will have the opportunity to see a complete Torah Scroll at Bob Jones University.
Donated by Logos, a Bible software company, the scroll will be on display beginning at 2 p.m. in the Rotunda of the BJU Seminary building.
At more than 98 feet long, the scroll contains the first five books of the Bible — Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. It was handwritten by a single scribe on unsplit calfskin, and despite its age, remains in remarkable condition.
The public is invited to view this extraordinary piece of biblical history and learn more about its significance.
