A father from Anderson County is facing multiple child sex crime charges. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says, Brian Patrick Braum of Belton is facing four counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The charges stem from Braum possessing and distributing child sex abuse material. Local authorities were tipped off to Braum's online activity by the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators say Braum was viewing material that had victims between the ages of 6 and 13 years old.
Deputies say there's no evidence any of the victims were from the local area. The South Carolina Attorney General's Office will be prosecuting Braum's case.
