An Anderson man stands accused of murdering his mother. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says 32 year old, Justin Blake Queen has been charged with murder after a long missing person's investigation.
The investigation started in June of last year after 52 year old, Christy Dunn was reported missing by her employer. Investigators say her vehicle was later found and her debit card was still being used while she was missing. Queen and his mother lived in the same house, a search of the home found what were said to be human bones in a burn pit on the property.
Testing later confirmed that the remains were human. Detectives determined that Dunn's body was put in the burn pit after she was assaulted. Queen has been arrested for his mother's murder and is being held in Anderson County.
