An Upstate man is in custody for allegedly killing his own mother. As we previously reported, a woman was found dead at a home on Belton Farm Road in Anderson County, Thursday night.
Deputies had responded for a welfare check on the woman and found her dead at the home. The victim has been identified as, 65 year old, Kathy Ramsey.
Her son, Andrew Bowen has been arrested for her murder. The Sheriff's Office says Bowen was taken into custody in Greenville County. He had reportedly left the home on Belton Farm Road went to a family member's home in Greenville County, where he was involved in a disturbance.
Bowen has been charged with murder. The cause of Ramsey's death has been listed as stab wounds and her manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
