Traffic stop on I-85 leads to seizure of more than a pound of cocaine...
The traffic stop happened earlier this year, in May, on I-85 northbound near Exit 11. Deputies with the Interstate Interdiction Unit stopped the vehicle and, due to what they described as suspicious behavior by the driver, conducted a search with the assistance of a K-9 unit.
The search revealed a heat-sealed package hidden underneath the hood of the vehicle. Inside, deputies found 533 grams of cocaine — more than a pound.
The driver, Timothy Brian Crain, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine. He was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center.
