The FAA says that is has resumed normal flight operations after an overnight technical issue. The organization reports that that an outage of their Notice To Air Mission Systems or NOTAM occurred causing them to ground flights, nationwide. The system is used to relay information to flight crews. The FAA says, the system is back operating and they have now lifted the ground stop. The cause of the outage is still being investigated. Tom Tyra, the Director of Communications at Greenville-Spartanburg said in a statement that some delays did occur Wednesday morning due to the nationwide outage.
