Are you surprised the Willis Meadows lost in the Republican Primary runoff?

A man considered to be one of Greenville County's most prominent political figures has lost in the runoff. Willis Meadows has been a power in local politics for some time. He had been in office on the Greenville County Council since 1st elected in 2006. Meadows most recently has served as the Chairman of the Greenville County Council. On Tuesday night, political newcomer and former America's Got Talent contestant Benton Blount defeated Meadows in the Republican Primary Runoff for Greenville County Council's District 19 seat.
