An armed felon is behind bars in Western North Carolina, after being arrested Tuesday. The Asheville Police Department says, 24 year old Nathaniel Charles Smith was taken into custody, during an investigation into a series of violent crimes.
Officers seized a pistol and over a gram of fentanyl , during the arrest. Smith was booked in Buncombe County on multiple drug and weapons charges.
