An armed robbery Wednesday morning has led to a SWAT Team standoff. The Anderson Police Department responded just after 10AM to an armed robbery at Anderson Liquor on Williamston Road.
The suspect fled the store and barricaded themselves inside a motel room at the Southerner Motor Lodge across the street. Anderson Police Chief Jim Stewart said as of 12:45PM Wednesday, that SWAT personnel was still on scene trying to negotiate with the suspect.
