A home invasion in the Upstate led to the arrest of a Spartanburg County man. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded around 6 PM Thursday evening to a home on Damson Street in Spartanburg.
Lt. Kevin Bobo says, the suspect 34 year old James Timothy Beavers of Woodruff was armed with a gun and forced his way into the home. Investigators report that Beavers thought that members of his family were inside the home.
Beavers was known to the victims, as he had been put on trespass notice by them prior to the incident. Beavers is charged with 1st degree burglary, malicious property damage, trespassing and a weapons violation.
