An arrest has been made after a man was found dead in the Upstate after his body was burned. As we previously reported, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded Sunday to the area of North 6th Street in Greenville after someone reported seeing a dead body.
The victim was identified as 29 year old, Angel Lazaro Castillo. The Coroner's Office says he died from blunt force trauma to the head.
The Sheriff's Office now says the suspect, 38 year old Juan Lopez was arrested in Columbia, Tuesday night.
Investigators say that Lopez came to Greenville to confront Castillo in regard to a domestic dispute and after killing Castillo, he poured flammable liquids on him and set him on fire.
