A suspect is in custody after a sex crime investigation last week at Clemson University. As we previously reported, Clemson University Police responded after a reported incident at the Cooper Library, last Wednesday.
Police reported that the initial incident they were investigating involved the touching of a female student. The Department now says the suspect 25 year old, Xavier Alexander Rodriguez of Greenville has been arrested and is charged with three counts of 2nd degree assault.
Police say he is not affiliated with the university. Police are warning students not let unfamiliar people enter buildings behind them.
