A suspect is facing a list of charges after an attempted robbery and shooting at an Upstate hotel last week. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office responded to a hotel on Highway 153 near Piedmont, last Tuesday.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect, 24 year old Dyquan Burris, was hiding behind the dumpster at the hotel when he jumped the victim. Burris is accused of trying to rob the victim at gunpoint before shooting them in the leg.
Burris is charged with attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault and a weapons violation.
