An investigation is ongoing after shots were fired at a North Georgia home. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Franklin Hills Drive in Carnesville around 2:30 PM, Tuesday.
When deputies arrived they found evidence that a domestic violence episode had happened before shots were fired into the home. The suspect was then identified as Jason Lapoint. He had fled the scene but was found in Banks County less than an hour later and was taken into custody.
Formal charges against Lapoint have not yet been announced, as of this time.
