A suspect is in custody after a robbery at a Greenville grocery store, Monday afternoon. The Greenville Police Department responded to a reported strong armed robbery at the Ingles on Poinsett Highway, just before 5PM.
Investigators say the suspect 32 year old, Denzel Alexander Leamon was shoplifting and when he was confronted assaulted a store employee. Leamon had fled the scene but was later located after being tracked by K-9 units.
He was then taken into custody. Leamon has initially been denied bond and is being held at the Greenville County jail.
