A suspect is facing charges after a weekend shooting in Asheville. Police responded to the 700 block of Fairview Road, just before 6:30 AM, Saturday. The victim told officers that he was driving when a man in a vehicle in the lane next to him began shooting into his car.
Investigators say the victim was not injured, but the vehicle suffered damage. The suspect 37 year old, Michael Adarius Cornett was later arrested at his home in Weaverville. He's charged with assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied vehicle and property damage.
