An arrest has been made after a shooting near a Western North Carolina grocery store, Sunday afternoon. The Asheville Police Department responded to the H and B Grocery Store on State Street and found a man on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Mission Hospital where he is said to be in stable condition. Police say an argument led to the shooting. The suspect 34 year old Quantay Leontay Love exited his vehicle and reportedly fired on the suspect before fleeing the scene.
Love was arrested hours later, he's charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
