A 19 year old Greenville resident is behind bars charged with the Sunday night, robbery and murder of a Hillcrest High School student. 17 year old , Elijah (E.J.) Smith died in the hospital Monday.
Simpsonville Police says Sagin Riley Willasch shot Smith during an armed robbery attempt. The incident happened in the parking lot of the "Tipsy Taco" at the intersection Fairview and Harrison Bridge Roads, around 10 PM Sunday. Willash is charged with possession of a weapon in a violent crime in addition to murder and attempted armed robbery.
