Artisphere is returning this weekend to downtown Greenville with artists and crafters from 30 different states.
Last year’s event saw 90,000 attendants, with a similar turnout expected this year.
The 19th annual Artisphere, presented by TD Bank, is also set to feature the largest cast of artists since the event’s founding in 2005.
“It is one of the country’s top ten fine arts festivals,” said Kerry Murphy, the President and CEO of Artisphere. “We have 143, the largest number of artists vendors to date. We have artists representing 30 different states. 40 artists are brand new, and 15 of them are local.”
She said the free event also brings a lot of economic activity to local restaurants and hotels, with last year seeing over 20,000 attendants from out of town, many from out of the state and a majority of whom stayed at least one night in a Greenville area hotel.
The Artisphere is being held in downtown Greenville along Main Street from noon to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 8pm on Saturday, and 11am to 6pm on Sunday.
