One Asheville man takes his job as a career criminal pretty seriously.
Police arrested James Rashanda Nesbitt at an apartment complex on French Broad Avenue Wednesday night, 5/15/24. Nesbitt had open warrants for parole violation and larceny.
He was just released in February of this year for a 2023 conviction of habitual larceny. According to the Police Department, since that February release, he's been arrested twice for larceny in downtown Asheville. But that's not it, since 1992, law enforcement has charged Nesbitt at least 114 times.
As of right now, a magistrate has put a stop to it.
The Asheville Police Department says Nesbitt is currently behind bars at the Buncombe County Detention Center under NO BOND.
