Several active shooter threats have been reported at schools around South Carolina Wednesday. Two schools in the Upstate are among the group. The reports have determined to be a part of a hoax , as none of the claims have been founded.

Greenville County School District Spokesman Tim Waller says, there was a report of a school shooter threat at Greenville High on Wednesday. Waller says, the Greenville Police Dept. responded promptly to investigate and determined the tip was false. The GCS says, they take all reports of this nature seriously and extra officers will be on campus at Greenville High, the rest of the day.
A similar report was made at Robert Anderson Middle School. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says, the report was made around 10:45 Wednesday morning. Deputies responded and confirmed the report was false. Investigators are working to determine the origin of those calls.
Those two false reports come on the heels of various other threats that have been determined to be false at districts around the State including the Midlands and Low Country areas.
