As we previously reported a man who being held at the Greenville County Detention Center and charged with an upstate woman's murder, has died.
39 year old Michael Clarkson was being held in the Greenville County Detention Center charged with the May 28th murder of a Travelers Rest woman whose body was found at her home.
Detention Center staff found Clarkson in critical condition in his cell Friday. He was taken to a hospital for treatment where he died on Saturday.
Following an autopsy Monday, the Coroner's Office has ruled Clarkson's death as suicide. His death continues to be investigated by the Greenville County Coroner's Office and SLED.
