Backlash leads to back pedaling from Spartanburg County GOP

SCGOP
Spartanburg County Republican Party

Back pedaling in the face of backlash, seems to be exactly what the Spartanburg County Republican Party is doing in regards to its upcoming Sheriffs Candidate forum.

The group and its leader Frank Tiller was originally set to charge admission for their upcoming forum which is scheduled for Friday evening. All 9 of the candidates were invited to speak, one candidate Adam Crisp refused due to the group charging admission.

Tiller ruffled feather when made comments on social media calling those who attend free forums "Hot, sweat people to cheap to purchase a ticket."

4th District Republican Club President Nate Leupp then called Tiller out on social media for those comments.

Since then the Spartanburg County GOP has decided not to charge admission for their upcoming forum.

Tiller joined "Straight Talk With Bill Frady" Monday afternoon and apologized for his comments.

News/Talk 98.9 and the Fourth District Republican Club will be holding a forum for the candidates July 31st at High Point Academy in Spartanburg which will be free admission.
