An upstate man is dead after being hit and killed while riding a bicycle. The crash happened just before 6 PM Thursday evening on Bethany Church Road in Anderson County.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that an SUV hit the bicyclist from behind. The victim, identified as 66 year old Bobby Wayne Holbrooks of Belton died at the scene.
The crash is still under the investigation by the Highway Patrol and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
