The entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina remains closed as crews continue emergency stabilization and damage assessments following Hurricane Helene. Updates will be posted on the Blue Ridge Parkway website at https://ow.ly/L1vy50TJea4 and on the park’s social media platforms.

Known as "America's Favorite Scenic Drive," the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway remains closed to vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. According to Parkway Officials, emergency stabilization efforts and damage assessments continue in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
Right now, crews are trying to determine what actions need to be taken in order to safely get to locations in need of repair.
No schedule has been established for reopening the parkway in North Carolina.
In Virginia, the National Park Service is finishing up damage assessments and clearing debris. A phased reopening of most of the Blue Ridge Parkway in that state is expected within the next week.
