Greenville authorities are investigating after a body was found in the road in downtown Greenville.
According to the Greenville County Coroner's Office, they were called to 17 South Main Street around 1:15 a.m. on Monday.
Initial reports referred to the victim as an "unresponsive man" but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The Greenville Police Department and the coroner are investigating. The GPD said they are treating the death as suspicious and will be exhausting all possible leads.
