Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says his office is investigating the death of a 40-year-old Blacksburg man whose body was found in a ravine off Interstate 85 Tuesday afternoon.
“The body, identified as that of Kristopher Kent Stacker of 589 White Farm Road, was discovered about 1 p.m. by the owner of a billboard company who had come to the location at 210 Henson Road to inspect a sign. The body appears to have been there for 24 hours or less. Family members reported having last seen Stacker late Sunday night. I have scheduled an autopsy to assist in our investigation,. The death does not appear to be natural.” Fowler said.
