The body of an out of state man was found over the weekend at an Upstate lake. Emergency personnel in Oconee County say, 26 year old Pennsylvania resident Kellen Jerome Mackey drowned following a kayaking accident.
Mackey was in the area for a wedding party at a home off of Cartee Road, he then went kayaking and his kayak overturned in the water. Officials say , Mackey was not wearing a life jacket and couldn’t swim. He went missing after the kayak overturned and his body was later found during a search.
