Bond has been set for a Western North Carolina man who's facing a slew of child sex crime charges. The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported kidnapping at the county recreation complex, August 23rd.
Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect 40 year old Jacob Earl Norwood with the victim. Norwood was initially charged with indecent acts with a child.
Upon further investigation, he was charged with statutory rape with a child under 15.
Deputies then learned of another victim which led to multiple additional charges of incest, statutory rape of a child under 15 and indecent acts with a child under 14.
On Tuesday) Norwood's bond was set at 3.5 million dollars.
