The suspect who is charged with making a bomb threat that shut down I-85 in Greenville County on January 2nd is seeking release from custody.
We here at WORD were the 1st outlet to reveal the identity of the suspect when Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis joined the Tara Show the morning after the incident.
Lewis announced then that 44 year old Ahmad Alhendi, a Jordanian National residing in Illinois had been taken into custody for making a false bomb threat and other charges.
Alhendi had been pulled over while driving a tractor-trailer on I-85 near White Horse Road, the incident shut down traffic for hours.
Alhendi was later put on an ICE detainer. He now has a bond hearing set for Thursday March 13th.
