A man now known as the Campobello bandit is now in custody after a crime spree. As we previously reported, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office was searching for Michael Travis Waddell after he reportedly broke into three vehicles and stole one of them in Campobello, Tuesday.
Waddell initially eluded capture after ramming into a patrol vehicle and later running on foot. The Sheriff's Office now says Waddell was taken into custody, Wednesday afternoon. He once again led deputies on a chase, however deputies were able to forcibly stop the vehicle and took him into custody.
Waddell faces a list of charges including aggravated assault, 1st degree burglary, grand larceny, four counts of breaking into a vehicle and multiple other crimes.
