Spectacular news after Humane Society "unleashes" a cry of desperation.... but the work is just beginning...

Around 9:30 Monday morning, The Greenville Humane Society shared via social media the urgent message "Crates are lining our hallways." and asked community members to adopt or foster.

Hours later, 28 pets found their forever home and 36 went to foster homes.... but that is just the beginning.

Katie Wofford, Marketing Assistant for the Greenville Humane Society, says they are still in a capacity crisis.

Right now, for a limited time, they have discounted the adoption fee for dogs 4 months and older to $50. Layla, Barron, T-Rex and Triceratops... along with many others, are still looking to wag their tail at your place!

Now, If adoption isn't an option, Greenville Humane is asking families to consider fostering. Everything needed will be provided.

Shared via social media, the Greenville Humane Society says "This is urgent. There is no time. Crates are lining our hallways."

One photo shared on their Facebook page shows at least 6 large dog crates set up down one of the hallways of the Airport Road facility.

Right now, for a limited time, they have discounted the adoption fee for dogs 4 months and older to $50.

If adoption isn't an option, they are asking families to consider fostering.  Everything needed will be provided.

Currently, they are trying to place 57 dogs.
