Upstate community rallies around armed robbery victim
Anderson County Sheriff's Office

A victim is recovering after he was attacked during an armed robbery in the Upstate, earlier this week. As we previously reported, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office responded to the Anderson Station Shopping Center, Monday afternoon.

The community has since rallied around the victim who has been identified as Chris Holdt. He is described as a homeless man who hangs out in the parking lot of the shopping center. When deputies arrived they found Holdt suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital to be treated, there's been no update on his condition.

People who are familiar with Holdt say that he never asks anyone for anything, he is just known to hang out in the shopping center parking lot. Investigators say a gun was used in the robbery.

The Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident, however no arrests have been made, as of the time of this report.
