Media release provide by the candidate Cathy McCabe for Mayor.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Former city attorney and local community leader Cathy McCabe has officially filed to run in the November 2nd general election.
At a news conference following the filing, McCabe highlighted her proven record of improving Spartanburg and helping its citizens:
"I love Spartanburg and its people. Their passion for a better future inspires me every day.
"No one will work harder for Spartanburg. I'm running for mayor because we need three very important things in city government: depth of experience, accessibility, and the ability to actually get things done.
"I am committed to making Spartanburg one of the best places in the country to live, work, and do business. Serving as city attorney for 11 years was a great honor. It's also a position where I learned the challenges the city and its citizens face on an up-close and personal basis. I am committed to addressing these challenges with a professional office.
"I will be Spartanburg’s #1 job promoter but know how important it is to help existing small businesses and their employees.
"Our citizens deserve a Mayor who will listen to them. That's why I will establish regular office hours at City Hall so that I’m available to anyone who wants to talk with me.
"I am excited to hit the campaign trail and earn voters' trust," concluded McCabe.
