An Upstate man that was shot in in late July has now died from his injuries. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office says, 46 year old Rafahel Levi Castro died Friday morning at Spartanburg Regional. As we previously reported, Castro was shot the night of July 24th at a home in Chesnee.
The suspect, 56 year old Willie Earl Robinson fled the scene prior to deputies arriving. His vehicle was later spotted and led deputies on a chase and was able to elude them. Robinson was charged with Attempted Murder, he turned himself on that charge last Tuesday. Charges against Robinson are expected to be upgraded to murder due to the victim's death.
