The little girl who was rescued by volunteer firefighters, but badly burned in the blaze that swept her family's Upstate home over the weekend, has died.
The father of three year old Sadie DeRose says the family had braced for the child's death since doctors at the Augusta Burn Treatment Center told them there was nothing medically left for them to do for her.
She had been passed through the bedroom window by Townville Volunteer firefighters to Oconee County Sheriff's Deputies sent to the scene of the fire near Seneca.
The family's other children had escaped the flames unhurt. The case had gained massive attention and sympathy through the father's social media pleas for prayers for Sadie.
