A child is injured after a weekend shooting in the Upstate. Police say, the child was shot in the stomach Saturday near North Main Street in Woodruff.
Upon arrival, officers from the Woodruff Police Department found the victim suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated. Police say, an altercation led to the shooting.
There's been no update on the child's condition and the Woodruff PD didn't say what the child's age was. No arrests have been announced in connection to the shooting, as the time of this report. The incident remains under investigation by the Woodruff Police Department.
